Baba BAKHORAN Dass (BBD) was at ANIMS at Portblair. Govind Ballabh Pant hospital is attached to this new institute which has recently been established by GoI. It was extremely pleasant and unbelievely well maintained public hospital by the Government for aam aadmi. Huge rush every where – but no chaos and unruly behaviour of visiting patients nor any arrogance exhibited by any staff. Even the auto rickshaw/taxi at Parking lot exhibited discipline.
Few years back there was a slogan DISCIPLINE MAKES A NATION GREAT. ANIMS is a class example.
This is also a part of India. Portblair is example of mini India. If the local administration can maintain such high standards of hygiene and discipline and majority of medicines prescribed by the physicians provided by hospital – why not being replicated in our mainland hospital?
BBD is made to understand that a good number of patients are coming from mainland.
